We meet in parks and other public spaces in Regensburg once each week for two hours. We devote the first 90 minutes of this time to our traditional martial arts training. The last 30 minutes are devoted toward one of the areas described on this website.
In addition to this weekly training, we have special events such as overnight camping trips and other extended practical exercises. Presently, the primary language of instruction is English, as this is the chief instructor’s mother tongue, but he also has a very basic proficiency in German. Thus we can switch to German or use some combination of English and German if you so require.
For specific information about how to take part in our next training session, please contact us via e-mail or use this contact form and provide the following information in German or English:
How Much Does It Cost?
We are not a commercial endeavor, but there are costs involved in terms of instructor preparation and teaching time, travel, materials and continued professional development. To help offset these costs, we thus ask for a small contribution of €5 Euro per class (or €20 Euro per month for four classes). No contribution is expected for the first two classes. Furthermore, there are no contracts, thus you are free to stop whenever you choose.
For some special events, you may need to cover your own costs for supplies and gear (food, sleeping bag, shelter, etc.), which you should procure yourself and bring with you.
If we invite a guest instructor for a special class, we may need to divide the cost of any fees they may charge, but this is to be discussed and agreed upon by all parties well in advance.
If you would like to take part in our traditional Japanese martial arts training as well, there is no additional contribution. However, that training is connected to a Japan-based organization in which there is an initial one-time membership fee of ¥3,000 Japanese Yen (approx. €24 Euro). After that, the annual renewal fee is ¥2,500 Japanese Yen (approx. €20 Euro) per year, which is due once every January. If you decide to test for ranks in that organization, which takes at the very least three to four months per rank, the one-time fee for each rank begins at ¥3,000 Japanese Yen (approx. €24 Euro).
You are permitted a one-month trial period to try our traditional Japanese martial arts training before deciding whether or not to join the above mentioned Japan-based organization. If you choose not to, you are still more than welcome to continue taking part in our supplemental training described on this website. This training is in no way connected with or endorsed by the Japan-based organization, but you will probably find that the two pursuits do very much complement each other.
